Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has won FIFA's The Best award for his position.
Courtois has been chosen as FIFA's The Best goalkeeper of the 2017/2018 season, a big recognition for the Real Madrid man after having already won the World Cup's Golden Glove.
Courtois also received this award for his performances as Chelsea's shot-stopper last year.
"I am proud and happy to have won," he said when picking up the trophy at 'The Best' gala.
"Thanks to all those who voted for me and thanks to my teammates from Chelsea, Real Madrid and Belgium as well as my family and friends, who are there for me in the good times and bad times."
Courtois has surpassed Gianluigi Buffon, who won it last year ahead of Manuel Neuer and Keylor Navas.
The Costa Rican keeper was chosen as UEFA's best goalkeeper last year while David de Gea earned his spot in the FIFPro eleven.
